Gaddes is Allen's second-in-command. He handles the seemingly impossible task of coordinating the crew of the Crusade airship. Stalwart and easygoing, he can be relied upon whenever Allen and company get into trouble.
In the movie, Gaddes reappears as a member of the Abaharaki. He uses knives rather than a sword.

- In the anime Reeden refers to Gaddes as sarge, while in the movie he refers to him as captain.
- In the manga, his name is Gadeth, not Gaddes.
